Software: Use Canva to create my new logo.

I want to create my a new logo for my website. For that, I use the software Canva to do it. In the beginning, I write on the search column and look for the logo.

Then I write to search `logo photography` to find something I will try to create myself. Use the `Pink and Green Floral Photography Logo`.

Then I deleted the details and left only words. Change my name and also change the font for Amsterdam Four size 29.8px.

I went to the elements tab. And I wanted to find something related to me and photography. At first, I thought about the camera, but I realized that the camera has a lot of photographers. I've been looking for more. In the elements column, I found photographers and clicked the graphics tab. I kept looking and found a girl with a camera. Resembling me. I added it to the logo. I decided to put it above my name.

I thought you would need to change the background, but a white background is perfect for this logo. The people will focus on the figurine and the inscription. So I left the background white.
Then my logo is done and now we can see the last stage. I will add the logo to my website.

Software: Lightroom Tutorial Basics/ Photo Editing Masterclass.

In that post, I will learn how to edit photos in Lightroom. I have never before used Lightroom. I choose one of the tutorials from YouTube to do that.

First I open my Lightroom and add a photo of what I want to learn. I choose one from my last session.

I watch the tutorial and at the same time, I try to learn. All of the panels which I went to be working with them on right. I start from the top and work down to the bottom.

The first one is the Basic tab because it was literally created for the correction phase. What I find out on this tab we do not color the photo. This tab is for correction. I was checking all the eyes on that tab just to check how it looks. In the basic tab, we have white balance, tone, and presence. But we not stylizing we just correcting. Use that only for flat footage. I check all the options and how it looked to know what I can do in that tab and go to the next.

I next tab Tone Curve which is just contrast. On the right-hand side, is our highlights you can bring them up, and the image gets brighter or down it gets darker.

Then I move on to the next part of color which is HSL also known as Hue, Saturation, and Luminance.
What I found in that part is that the Hue is the actual hue of the color, the Saturation is the amount of the color for that particular color and the Luminance is the brightness of that color. This tab is for selectively editing colors.

The next one is Split Toning gets its name from able to tone which is color, the shadows, and the highlights separate. Play with split toning is not a must be used in every photo.

Now am almost done with the coloring process. This is one more panel I use to know about color. It`s the panel all the way at the bottom that is only used on Lightroom Classic it`s Camera Calibration is meant to actually manipulate the mathematical camera color values inside the camera. Any little change in the slider changes everything. That is the last part of the coloring process.

The final step is to go to the panels we have a panel called Detail. Sometimes Lightroom sharpens images, but if we want to print the photo better doesn't change anything. Only if we want to add photos for example on Instagram you can use that panel. Next, I then used the last panel which is Effects which gives me the white circle around my image. Also, you can have a dark circle. That is to bring attention to the subject.

After that tutorial, I know how to use Lightroom. I will try to make the same change later on couple more pictures to get more practice. That program also will can help me in my major project.
I will want to use Lightroom to improve the quality of my photos, for example. brighten the image, and add some more vivid colors. The same goes for image sharpness. My photos are of children and many photos are good but something is missing or there is too much Lightroom will help me with this. After this course, I gained new information that is very useful and I will use it. That was a very productive time, and look forward to learning more.

Building on Digital Skills. How to remove anything from a photo in Photoshop.

Today I was watching a tutorial on how to remove anything from a photo in a photoshop program. I will make a screenshot of the step which a make when I watch the video. I went to YouTube and find the tutorial.

Next, I log in to my photoshop account.

Then I start watching the tutorial on my phone to do everything step by step on my computer.

I find images in my gallery and open them in photoshop.

I want to remove the black lamp stand and the cable from the photo. First, duplicate the layer to work nondestructively, I press Ctrl J and I call that layer1. Then I select the Lasso Tool.

Then I going to freehand a selection around the photobomber.

Then I go to Edit choose to Fill and I change Contents to `Content-Aware` and Color Adaptation check, and press OK.

Then I`m going to press Ctrl D to deselect. And now almost like magic, Photoshop removes that photobomber.

The photo is ready and I can add it to my gallery.
As I wrote before, photoshop is a new thing for me. I just got access to it this year. I think the tutorial is great for beginners. I will put everything in it thoroughly, it helped me and now I know how to remove things that I would not like in the picture. I haven't decided yet which photos I will use for my project, but photoshop will help me not only in removing something I don't want but also with other options. I will watch more photoshop tutorials because there are great tutorials on the internet and it's free.

Project Development

This is my storyboard, it is a graphic representation of my final idea of how my project will unfold, shot by shot. It`s made up of several clouds with notes about what`s going on in the session.

I am after my first session with Aniela and Oskar. I look forward to the next session.

Software testing: Using Flipsnack

Here we took part in a class demonstration to create a flipbook using the Flipsnack website. This is the process we used in class to help create our own software which we will use for our project.

First I selected all the files I would like to create into a book and I convert the file to PDF. I used an online jpeg to pdf converter to achieve this.

To convert jpg files to pdf files, I click the combination bottom when I find all the images I want to include.

I then sing in with my DMU account to Flipsnack and the following screen appeared:

I click on Upload PDF bottom on the top to add my PDF.

I choose my pdf from my desktop and add it to flipsnack.

After I click the bottom next and I have my flipbook.

Next, I click on the bottom on the top `share now`. I change the title of the work from Magda and click on Publish bottom.

I then can see all details of Magda book. I copy the address of the flipbook here.

I think there are many advantages of flipbooks: they are modern, practical, easy to use, and look great.
Instead of having to pay for print costs, materials, and distribution through manpower or shopping, flipbooks have one low, single conversion cost.
You can easily publish it in a post, and each of your recipients will have the opportunity to share it, which will automatically increase my / your chances of acquiring new customers. And it's completely free!
I think I could use flipbook for my gallery page, I'll see how it looks :)

My Blog Buddy comments.

I add some comments for my Blog Buddy. I think that will help him to add something and get better marks in the end.

Website Research.

I chose their website because first both of them are about photographers and my project will relate to photography. Also, the photographers made their website thinking about children.

 Russ Jackson

I have been researching photographers' websites and the first website I looked at was Russ Jackson. Together with his wife, they form a team with specializes in maternity, newborn, and children`s portraiture. With 20 years of experience in photography, Russ is considered one of the most experienced portrait photographers in the U.K. They aim to create beautiful, soft, and timeless images using natural tones and textures that best complement the baby. They believe that a beautiful portrait of the child should portray so much more than just a smile.

The reason why I chose that website is that my first attention is to the details. On the homepage, the picture slides automatically which definitely attracts the eye. The website has traditional layout, structure, and design elements. Is very easy to find what we are looking for because the navigation on the page is clear to read. Important information like "about" help better know those fantastic people. We also see a lot of galleries where we can see their work. In the order, I mean that the photos are sorted into groups. The colors on the pages do not clash with each other, which is also an important advantage for this website. The font which has been chosen for this website is enjoyable so when you want to read all information you can do it without any problems. For sure I will be visiting this website as from what I know he already changes the layout and gallery. With every change of page, we can see more works of them which is very beautiful to see.

Aga Tetera

Professional photographer specialising in newborns, children, and family photography based in Leicester, UK. Aga, she is qualified to provide outstanding service to take care of your child in the safest possible way. I am impressed with how Aga uses her skills to help other people. She is a volunteer photographer for the bereavement charity "Remember My Baby" which delivers photography services to families of Angels, babies that grew angel wings way too soon; and a volunteer photographer for "Butterfly Wishes Network" where they donate service free of charge to families with children suffering for life-shortening conditions.

I think Aga chose a simple layout that provides easy access to information that we need. For example, when we click the option 'about me' the page is straight away scrolling to the bottom of the page. There are two things which I do not like - that to get to the top of the page we need scrolling and when we click on option 'product' there is something in the style of error. Aga specializes in photos of newborns, children, and maternity - everything that is in common with children. I appreciate that she is providing a lot of options on her website as information about sessions, and recommendations from people who were working with her. Probably I will visit her website one more time, and maybe I will catch more inspiration from her work.

By comparing the two sides Russ's website is black and white where is easy to see everything, the white background is good because the viewer can focus on black and white photos. On the other hand, we have an Aga website where the page attracts attention with it is colors. Both sides have navigation in the middle of the page, the difference only is on Aga when you click on all the buttons on the navigation bar a drop-down menu appears, I think this is not good for the website because it is easy you can click something that you do not want go. Russ on his home page uses serif fonts that look very attractive and are easy o read, but Aga uses sans serif fonts which also look good. On my own website, I still think about fonts, for now, I using serif, however sans serif looks good maybe I will mix both of them. I was thinking about where to put the logo on my website. The Aga logo it is at the bottom of the page it seems to me that it is slightly visible, I think I will go like Russ and put my logo in the navigation in the middle where it will be visible and quick to find. The contact page on Russ has also booking sessions which is from me I would probably create additional navigation, e.g. make an appointment. Both websites on the contact page do include email contact links and social media, however, on Russ, these could have been added as icons on all the pages like Aga did. The copyright is included on this page and has copyright details for Russ and Aga. Lastly, I checked the mobile views of both websites on my mobile phone. I believe this website works better and is laid out better for mobile. I will definitely take some of their ideas and enjoy myself after going through the websites to understand how I would like them to look at my website.
